In order to participate in the CME Courses held on May 18, 2013, all regularly registered congress members must go to the session halls and have their badge scanned by the hostesses at the entrance (at participant’s own responsibility). Please note that the seat capacity of the conference rooms is limited, therefore participation in these courses will be on a “first come first served” basis. The courses are reserved to regularly registered congress members and are included in the registration fee.

Regularly registered participants are entitled to attend all Scientific and Poster Sessions, Opening Ceremony with Welcome Reception and Industrial Exhibition. Onsite they will also receive a congress kit (including Final Programme and Abstract CD-ROM) as well as vouchers for coffee, tea or other drinks. The beverage vouchers will be sent, together with the badge, to all pre-registered congress members.
A confirmation letter and congress materials (badge and beverage vouchers) will be sent by post to regularly pre-registered congress members shortly after the set deadlines. We strongly suggest that all the congress members, who have not received their materials in due time, contact the Registration Dept (e-mail: registrations@era-edta.org or fax: +39-0521-959242) urgently.
Congress bags, which include the Final Programme and the Abstract CD-ROM, can be picked up at the bag desk located in the Registration Area starting May 17, 2013 at 11.00 hrs. In order to pick up their congress bag each participant will have to show their badge for scanning.
Please note that admission to the Registration Area will be strictly forbidden to all until May 17, 2013 at 11.00 hrs. Registration will continue for the whole duration of the congress: check the Final Programme for full timetable.
The registration fee does not include any other benefit besides the ones mentioned above. For any kind of information regarding the online pre-registration system, please check the Congress Membership Rules (section Registrations).

All regularly registered delegates can collect their certificate of attendance at the appropriate desk (“Certificate of Attendance”) located in the Registration Area starting May 18, 2013 after 15.00 hrs. To obtain the certificate of attendance, it is mandatory to go to this desk and have the original badge scanned; so if you are attending the entire congress, ask for your certificate only on the last day. The certificate of attendance for the whole congress will be given on May 21, 2013 only. If you are not able to go to this desk to collect your certificate due to other commitments, you can send a written request to the ERA-EDTA Congress Office after the congress (e-mail: registrations@era-edta.org), it will then be sent to you by e-mail.

The ERA-EDTA is insured only to meet claims arising from incidents caused by the organisers and their equipment. Participants, exhibitors and visitors are strongly recommended to be properly insured against accidents they may suffer when travelling to and from the Congress and during the Congress itself.

The official language of the Congress is English. No simultaneous translation will be available.

For accredited journalists only. Full press working facilities and activities including press conferences, press releases and services for press will be available at the Istanbul Congress Center during the Congress.

The 50th ERA-EDTA Congress and the pre-congress CMEs are accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide the following CME activity for medical specialists. The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS). ECMECs credits are recognized in the following countries: Armenia, Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and United Kingdom. Delegates receiving certificates for ECMEC credits must contact their National Accreditation Authority to have the credits recognized (or converted) in their country of practice. EACCME credits are recognized by the American Medical Association towards the Physician’s Recognition Award (PRA). To convert EACCME credit to AMA PRA category 1 credit, contact the AMA. The total number of CME credits given to the ERA-EDTA Istanbul Congress will be posted on the website as soon as they are available.

How to receive UEMS CME credits
ERA-EDTA will track attendance of congress members during the congress in the Istanbul Congress Center each day. All regularly registered congress members must go to the session halls and have their badge scanned by the hostesses at the entrance (at participant’s own responsibility). Congress members will then be awarded the number of credits towards the hours actually spent participating in the sessions of the congress. ERA-EDTA will send UEMS CME Certificate only upon specific request. Regularly registered congress members can either request to receive it by post or e-mail at the UEMS CME desk (starting May 18, 2013) during the congress or in writing to cmecredits@era-edta.org. The certificate will be then sent after the congress, approximately one month after it is finished.
